Everton supporters have been left asking questions about David Moyes’ future following reports and speculation surrounding the manager earlier this month.
Moyes faced frustration during the summer transfer window after several deals failed to materialise, leaving Everton with a smaller squad than expected. The situation generated criticism and prompted some public discussion about whether the manager could continue under the circumstances.
However, there is no confirmed evidence that Moyes has submitted a resignation letter to Everton.
Quite the opposite: the Everton manager remained in charge on September 19, guiding the Toffees to a 1–0 Premier League victory over Ipswich Town. Thierno Barry scored the decisive goal, with Everton maintaining their unbeaten start to the league campaign.
Moyes also spoke after the victory, expressing relief at the result while discussing his team’s performance.
The speculation therefore remains just that — speculation. Unless Everton or Moyes officially announces a resignation, claims that he has already handed in his resignation letter should not be treated as confirmed news.
