The uncertainty surrounding the future of college athletics appears to be creating additional opportunities for programs like Kentucky, which can now explore roster options that might not have been available under the previous system.<\/p>\n
One name that has recently surfaced is Bethune-Cookman forward Daniel Rouzan. According to The Portal Report, Kentucky has shown interest in Rouzan, joining Indiana, FIU, Southern Miss and Troy among the schools that have reportedly reached out to him.<\/p>\n
Rouzan has already taken an unusual path through college basketball. He began his career at Weber State before transferring to Manhattan and eventually landing at Bethune-Cookman. Over the past three seasons, he has averaged roughly 11 points per game while contributing around four rebounds per contest.<\/p>\n
His shooting ability from beyond the arc is not considered one of his strengths. Rouzan has made only 13 of 43 three-point attempts during his college career. Still, his size, experience and overall production could make him a useful addition for a Kentucky team looking to strengthen its frontcourt and fill out the roster.<\/p>\n
The bigger issue, however, is what the constantly changing landscape means for college basketball.<\/p>\n
