Korey Cunningham, a five-year offensive line veteran who played for three NFL clubs, has died. He had turned 28. Cunningham was found dead in his home in Clifton, New Jersey, on Thursday, according to police. Officers arrived at the home after a family member reported being unable to reach Cunningham. The death’s cause is still being investigated. Police claimed there was no proof of wrongdoing.

Frisco police arrested Dallas Cowboys defensive end Sam Williams on Sunday night on charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to a police department representative.

According to Frisco police, the controlled substance allegation for alleged THC possession is a low-level state felony, while unauthorised firearm carrying is a misdemeanour. A source previously told the Star-Telegram that the narcotic was marijuana. THC is the chemical in marijuana that produces a high and can take several forms.

Williams, 24, was a part of the Cowboys’ 22-14 loss to Seattle on Saturday. He arrived with the team early Sunday morning. The Cowboys’ spokesman declined to comment. The arrest has been reported to the team. On Monday, the Cowboys were off. On Tuesday, Williams practiced with the team.

Medical marijuana usage is authorised in Texas in restricted circumstances for those suffering from epilepsy, seizure disorders, and a variety of other diseases.
