Manchester United fans would have been stunned by a huge transfer announcement involving German midfielder Leon Goretzka. If Manchester United were to pursue Goretzka in the future, his experience and midfield qualities would make the transfer a major talking point among supporters. Reports earlier in 2026 did link Manchester United with interest in Goretzka before his eventual move away from Bayern.
