Crystal Palace supporters have been left concerned by growing speculation surrounding head coach Pierre Sage, with reports recently questioning his position at Selhurst Park.Sage was appointed in June 2026 on a three-year contract after a highly successful spell at Lens, where he guided the French club to a second-place Ligue 1 finish and their first Coupe de France triumph.
However, his opening weeks at Crystal Palace have brought mixed results. Palace suffered several Premier League defeats before responding with victories over Fulham and European opponents Lech Poznan. More recently, the Eagles secured a 0–0 draw away to Leeds United, producing their first Premier League clean sheet of the season.
There have also been reports of tension surrounding Sage, including claims that senior figures at the club have questioned some of his decisions. Those reports have fueled speculation about his future, although they do not establish that he has submitted a resignation letter.
As of September 21, there is no confirmed announcement from Crystal Palace that Sage has resigned. Supporters will therefore have to wait for an official statement before treating the resignation claim as fact.
